Placating lions with stuffed tigers. Works every time.

I emailed this dream to Ann on August 7, 2007.

I drove up a steep hill into a neighborhood in San Francisco. I was looking for the three houses of the polygamists. (I watched Big Love last night). I found the three 4-story row houses and commented to myself that it reminded me of Chicago. I wandered down the street and into what I though was an abandoned building. There was graffiti-art all over the walls and floors. I walked toward the fire place and looked down to see a lion cub crying, looking for his mom. Then I spotted the shadow of the momma lioness and headed for the door. I managed to close the door just as she was approaching and sighed in relief. I walked to my car that was parked across the street. A few minutes later a guy came out of that house. I apologized for having been in there. I explained that I thought it was abandoned. He said, "No problem. My name is - " "Justin," I finished. I don't know how I knew his name, but there was some weird connection. We chatted about feeling as though we already knew each other. He insisted on giving me a hug before I left.

I went and met Jeff at the beach. Groups of people were linking arms in concentric circles and spinning rapidly in the water. As they spin they would hoist up the internal rings of people. The whole group would lift off the ground and hover 10-15 feet in the air and then break away and dive into the water. Jeff joined one group, but before he could hover, the scene changed and I was back in the abandoned house. Justin was tossing a stuffed tiger at the lion cub telling another roommate not to let him cry all day. His brother cub died and he missed him. The stuffed tiger helped, apparently.
