This is an old one. I had this dream on 12/13/08.
I've been secretly stealing, copying, and returning incriminating documents with the help of law students for weeks now. For the final step in my investigation, I need to sneak across the street from my parents’ house to the neighbors’ house and steal last of the documents. I will not bet returning these.
The hiccup is that I'm pregnant with my ex-boyfriend’s quintuplets. I don’t have a huge belly, but I know I’m pregnant. Between trips to the neighbor’s house, I go into the hospital and have one baby to lighten my load. I name him Sam. While still in my hospital bed, I’m shown a picture of me holding Sam in one arm and a spectral ghost baby in the other arm. The ghost baby is tiny, shriveled and dead-looking. As I'm studying the picture, someone says over my shoulder, "Oooh, a ghost of the babies to come!" I leave the hospital with four babies in utero. My mission has yet to be accomplished.
It’s a dark, snowy night. I cross the street to the neighbors’ and grab some of the papers. I then run back home and slide open the window to the coat closet and put the papers on the shelf. I'll get them later from the inside. But there are more papers to be stolen, so I run back across the street. I'm worried about my tracks in the snow. Two more trips and I get all the documents.
I return to the hospital and have the rest of the babies. They are taken from me because I'm on house arrest. Jeff is with me in the hospital room and I want to lie down but his new girlfriend won't get off my bed. So, I walk around the room and feed the fish in the big fish tank. Jeff complains about his itchy back, so I spray the blue aloe gel on it. I'm really hoping that Jeff tells Erica to get off my bed so I can lie down, but he never does. So, I say to him, "It's weird to think that we have five kids. Do you ever see them?" "No, I just pay for them." I immediately know they take half his paycheck in child support. "I know you never wanted them. Still...you should go see them. At least go see Sam. He's the oldest." And then it dawns on me that I have no idea where my babies are and I should probably find that out.
But there's no time for that, I have to get to the ship. Now, I'm on a huge aircraft carrier. And as a surprise for one of the girls that was helping me with the investigation, I arranged to play beach volleyball on the ship with some of the naval officers. We walk into a room on one of the lower levels of the ship, and a big sand pit has been set up. We quickly team up and head to our side. One of the girls asks, "Hey, do you need any more help with the documents?" And I say, "No, that's what I was doing all last night." I tell her to keep it down. I’m worried someone may overhear. My mind wanders and I start thinking about how the ship is nuclear and wondering about the radiation.
The scene changes and I'm at a wedding. I vaguely think it might be my wedding. It's in a garage or warehouse. It's dark at the back, but there is more light closer to the bay doors. I head to the bar and ask for a rum and coke. The bartender says "Large?" “Sure." And then she hands me this tiny glass that's only half filled with rum and coke. I think, "This is large? Oh, well." I'm really bummed out in general and I don't want to be there. But, I have my drink and go sit on the playground equipment.
The end.
